Chrissy Wright was hired as the PRID office manager in December of 2023. Chrissy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organization and has proved to be a significant asset to PRID.  She has a strong background in agricultural production, education, and youth development. A true La Plata County native, she was born in Durango and raised in the Marvel, Colorado area. Her family eventually moved to Kirtland, NM, where she graduated high school. She attended both San Juan College and New Mexico State University.

True to her agricultural interests, she married into the Wright family, who represent generations of local farmers and ranchers since 1958.  Chrissy and her husband, Nate Wright, run a cow/calf and hay operation in Ignacio, Colorado. They have three adult children who remain involved in the family ranching operation.  Chrissy's biggest accomplishment has been raising three children.  She is a volunteer for the La Plata County 4-H and served on the La Plata County Farm Bureau Board in 2019-2022. She looks forward to continuing to serve the community.

Chrissy brings a host of business management, organizational, and public interaction skills, and talents to her new position. We are blessed and most fortunate to have Chrissy on board to help the PRID with the years of challenges that lie ahead for our irrigation and municipal and industrial water users.
